Phase I: Residence Hall Highlights
Phase I broke ground in Fall 2005, and features:
- Three residence halls with 318 new beds (a gain of 122 beds for the campus)
- Three community living rooms for gathering and socializing
- Large community courtyard incorporating three thematic gardens and the existing pool
- Outdoor amphitheater and outdoor classroom meeting spaces
- Twenty-five study rooms
- Shared community kitchen
- Apartment for to Student Affairs staff members and an office for the Hall Director
- Apartments for two faculty members
- New central mailroom
- New music practice room
- Three shared laundry rooms
- Three “Learning Communities” to foster co-curricular interaction
- New Green Bike Program workshop and office
- An art studio, with classroom and gallery space
- New “Smart” classroom (equipped with AV and computer capabilities)
- New Admission Office
