New York City Reception

New York City Reception
On November 2 Pitzer College alumni and parents joined President Laura Skandera Trombley for an evening reception at the New York City home of Robert Siegel and Susan Kargman, parents of Charley Siegel ’07. President Trombley shared some of Pitzer’s accomplishments and gave a recap of recent campus events while alumni and parents enjoyed a beautiful selection of wine and hors d’oeuvres.

New Resources Potluck
On November 9 the Los Angeles Chapter of the Pitzer College Alumni Association invited New Resources alumni, students, faculty and staff to the Grove House for an evening of food, conversation and live music by the alumni band Squeakin’ Wheels. The event, hosted by Alumni Board member Yolanda Romanello ’05, welcomed more than fifty alumni and guests who gathered to celebrate friendship, culture and the Pitzer experience.

Conversation & Cuisine at
Café Tu Tu Tango

On November 15 the Los Angeles Chapter of the Pitzer College Alumni Association invited Pitzer alumni for a festive evening of creative cuisine, sangria, art and entertainment. Held at Café Tu Tu Tango at Universal City Walk in Hollywood, California, more than sixty alumni and friends attended to hear from special guests Victoria Mudd, Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and visiting lecturer of Media Studies at Pitzer and Shannon Coggins ’03 who is the Marketing and Promotions Manager for NBC Universal Television Distribution. President Trombley also spoke to the attendees about campus happenings and the upcoming Summer Celebration Alumni Weekend Reunion in July 2007.

Sagehen Tailgate Party &
Hall of Fame dinner

Pitzer’s Sagehen alumni joined President Trombley for a tailgate party on the lawn of the Pomona Rains Center before the CMS vs. Pitzer-Pomona homecoming football game. Attendees enjoyed burgers and cold drinks, and caught up on old times with former teammates. After the Sagehens’ victory over CMS 31-14, Pitzer College hosted the 49th Annual Athlete Hall of Fame Dinner for the first time. Three of the six Hall of Fame inductees were Pitzer alumni: Mike Bartman ’95 (tennis), Ellen Dinsenbacher-Blankenship ’93 (soccer and track & field) and Pat White ’86 (baseball).
