Fulbright Awards
Six Pitzer seniors are awaiting news about whether they will receive a Fulbright Award for 2002-03. Anna Goralnik (Venezuela), Richard Anderson (Germany), Adilia Molina (South Korea), Terra Slavin (Philippines), Sarah Covington (Brazil) and Jessy Kronenberg (Venezuela) all have been recommended for awards by the U.S. Fulbright Committee. The host country Fulbright Committees must now give their approval of these recommendations. Approvals will come through sometime in April or May. Last year Pitzer also had six students recommended for awards. Three -- Sacha Moustakas, Erin Good and Heather Miller -- had their awards approved. Fulbright Advisor Nigel Boyle says he is hoping for a better than 50 percent yield this year.
