Passings
Pitzer student Catherine Blore, who would have graduated with honors in psychology in May, recently passed away, losing her battle with autoimmune chronic active hepatitis.

Catherine, who was deeply committed to social justice, once wrote: "It is my calling, juvenile justice -- and injustice."

Promotions
Effective March 1, Susan Navarro and Jeanette Couture were promoted to the positions of supply and gift specialist and trade book/community outreach specialist, respectively.

Navarro will replace Stella Faber, who retired in December. Navarro has been an employee at Huntley Book Store for six years. Her first major project will be commencement. She also will be coordinating the sale and distribution of academic attire for students and faculty, as well as announcements and diploma frames.

Couture will be working with all of The Claremont Colleges, coordinating and staffing book sales and author events. She will also begin outreach efforts in the community at large.
