Presidential Search Update
The Presidential Search Committee recently participated in intensive interviews in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. The committee would like to inform the Pitzer community that the presidential candidates are scheduled to be on campus the following dates: Oct. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19. Candidates will tour the facilities, and meet with faculty and student focus groups. They also will answer questions presented by the SCR.
Reporting Hate Crimes
In light of the tragic events of last week, The Human Rights Commission of the city of Claremont has provided a phone number to report hate crimes: (909) 399-5333.
Avery China Adventure Program
Pitzer students, faculty, staff and alumni (up to seven years after graduating) are eligible to win a travel award to China through the Avery China Adventure Program. If you can develop an idea for a project that reflects a strong connection with China, consider applying to win a grant to travel from three weeks to one year, and up to $25,000 in funding. You will need to develop a two-page proposal and rough budget by Nov. 2. If you are selected as a finalist, you'll develop a full proposal that will be due in February.
