Welcome Back Reception
All members of the faculty and staff are invited to attend a "Welcome Back" reception at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 6 in McConnell Center. The reception, hosted by the offices of the President and Dean of Faculty, will feature jazz by Lew Ellenhorn, professor emeritus of psychology, and guest musicians on the upstairs landing at McConnell. Ellenhorn arranged the soundtrack for Pitzer's campaign video "Imagine A College," which will be shown during the reception in the Founders Room.
Tuition Reimbursement
It's time to submit applications for tuition remission if you plan to use this benefit for fall semester. Forms are available in the human resources office and must be submitted at the beginning of every semester. Call Kiara Canjura at ext. 18254 or stop by McConnell 310.
Technology Resource Center
Pitzer's information technology office is working to define and create a technology resource center on the first floor of Bernard, associated with the student computer labs. The intent is to have a walk-in service center for students, faculty and staff for special computing projects, complete with work stations and special equipment. Details to come, so stay tuned!
Injured at Work?
If you are injured while at work:
Notify your supervisor immediately, even if you do not wish to receive medical treatment.
If medical treatment is requested, notify disability and unemployment administrator, ext. 18847 or 73943.
You first must obtain authorization from the disability and unemployment office or human resources before receiving medical treatment for any work-related injury.
