The Campaign Trail: Film Benefit Raises Scholarship Funds
Tonight's world-premiere screening of "Along Came A Spider," starring Morgan Freeman, promises to yield more than $100,000 for Pitzer College Scholarships.
This exciting gala, held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, benefits both Pitzer and Claremont Graduate University. The event, critically important to Pitzer in terms of both friend- and fund-raising, is being organized and chaired by Pitzer trustee Susan Dolgen and her husband, Jonathan Dolgen. Morgan Freeman is serving as honorary chairman for the event.
The evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the arrival of the movie's cast and filmmakers. A post-premiere party will take place immediately after the screening.
We are grateful to Susan and Jonathan Dolgen for their work on this event and for continuing to ensure that Pitzer is a beneficiary of its proceeds. We are especially delighted that deserving students will directly benefit from the success of this event. Of course, it's also fun to get out of Claremont and rub elbows with Hollywood movers, shakers and movie stars!
I hope to see many of you there tonight.
