Seeking Proposals for Outdoor Art Projects Pitzer's Aesthetics Committee is accepting proposals for outdoor art projects. To apply, submit a proposal no more than two pages long that offers a description and context for the project. The proposal should clarify the relationship of the project to the concept of outdoor art and also inform the committee of the details of the project such as: location, dimensions, materials, projected cost and participants (if others will be involved). Attach a working sketch (in color, if applicable) to the proposal. Applicants are encouraged to review their proposals with a member of the art faculty. Submit proposals by March 7 to Jacqueline Levering Sullivan in Scott 220.

New Shanghai Circus Comes to Bridges The New Shanghai Circus, featuring Stars of the Shanghai Acrobatic Theatre, comes to Bridges Auditorium for two nights only: March 20 and 21. Both shows are at 7 p.m. Born out of a 2,500 year-old Chinese tradition, the acrobats of the New Shanghai Circus present dragon dancing, contortions and gravity-defying balancing acts. Tickets for staff and faculty of The Claremont Colleges are $11.25 to $18.75. Tickets for students are $7.50 to $12.50. Tickets may be purchased at the Bridges box office or at Huntley Bookstore. Fellowship for Women and Minorities National Urban Fellows, Inc., is offering graduate fellowships for women and minorities. The program is a full-time, 14-month graduate fellowship composed of two summers of academic course work at Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City, a nine-month mentorship, and a one-week academic conference leading to a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Baruch College, School of Public Affairs. Each fellow receives up to $20,000 for the 14-month fellowship. Fellows also receive full payment of tuition; relocation allowance ($500); reimbursement for program-related travel; and book allowance ($500).
