Elevators Get Emergency Feature Campus elevators are being modified with kits that will allow them to return to the ground floor and let passengers out in the event of an emergency or power outage. Elevators have been equipped in Broad Center and Gold Center. Kits will be installed in Broad Hall, Bernard Hall, Avery Hall and Fletcher Hall this week. At a later date, elevators in McConnell and Mead also will be equipped with another kit, as these elevators are older and require a different kit.
