Promoting Better
Air Quality

Carpooling, biking or walking to work, or using public transportation helps cut down on the pollution put into our air every day. Take a look at the effects of air pollution at the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Web site at http://www.aqmd.gov/forstudents/. The site features an interactive graphic showing some of smog's effects on the body. Along with doing something that improves the air quality, Pitzer staff and faculty who use these methods to get to work also will receive $1.50 each day they participate. FMI: Michelle Annunziato or Marlene Kirk, ext. 18254.

Work-Study Positions
Please contact the Career Services Office if your office has a work-study position that already has been filled or if you would like to list a new opportunity. Career services will e-mail a list of available work-study positions this week. Please remind work-study students that they should submit time sheets to the financial aid office in Scott 127.

Get Fit for Free
Pitzer staff and faculty are invited to get fit this year at a free aerobics class. During the academic year, the class meets at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Macleod Room, Rains Gym, Pomona. It meets at 4:45 p.m. in the summer.
