UFWSO Canned Food Drive Pitzer's United Farm Workers Student Organization (UFWSO) is sponsoring a canned food drive for striking apple pickers in Washington. The farm workers are striking against low wages, discrimination and poor working conditions, and have been striking since mid August. UFWSO is also accepting monetary donations -- 50 cents will go towards the purchase of a can, which UFWSO will purchase. There is a box for can donations in Scott Hall, next to the faculty mail boxes. Monetary donations may be mailed to Adilia Molina in Scott Hall. Deadline for the drive is Oct. 1. FMI: x. 74183.
