Resnet Help Sheets

Getting Connected to the Wireless Network

This help sheet will provide you with instructions on how to connect to the ClaremontWPA wireless network. These instructions are based on the assumption that you already have a Wireless card installed and configured to connect to the Internet. In addition, you will be required to enter your Pitzer account user name and password when making the connection.

  1. Initially connect wirelessly to the network called "CINE" from your list of available networks. CINE is one of the colleges SSID's but it is limited, unless you go thru the registration process. CINE will eventually be removed so it is best to go through this wizard in order to connect to the ClaremontWPA network.
  2. Once your connection is established to "CINE", open your browser and click here. You will be re-directed to the Claremont Colleges Auto Connect page that will run a wizard to configure your computer for secure network access. A new window will open to a page like the figure below:

  1. Begin, first, by accepting the terms of the End User License Agreement then click start. Now just follow thru the wizard and select run and allow when appropriate.
  2. When asked for your user name and password enter your username in the format:
      • username@PIT
  3. Once you are connected you will not have to re-authenticate each time. The only time you will need to re-run this wizard is when you change your Pitzer email password.

If you need help, please send a help request to Resnet or call ext. 77548 to leave a message. Please provide your full name, phone number, residence hall room number, and a brief description of the problem and a Resnet Technician will assist you in the order in which your request was received.
