Assistant Professor in Political Studies with an Emphasis in Political Participation

Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges, invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Political Studies with an emphasis in political participation, broadly defined. Candidates should be trained in both American and Comparative politics. Primary research field could be in either American or Comparative. Attractive teaching and research interests could include elections, voting, public opinion, political psychology, and social movements. The position is set to begin the fall semester of 2013. A Ph.D. expected by fall semester, 2013.

One-Year Replacement Position in Political Theory and American Politics

Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applicants for a one year replacement position in Political Theory and American Politics for the academic year 2012-13.    The successful candidate should be able to teach an Introduction to Politics that combines the sub fields of political theory and American politics and a course in History of Political Philosophy: Ancients for the fall semester.  Three courses in the spring are open to the candidate’s interests and strengths in these two fields.
