Student Fellowships
In the spring semester, the Institute will combine a series of public intellectual events (guest speakers, films, panel discussions) on a bi-weekly basis with an undergraduate course component. Seniors and juniors from all majors will be invited to apply to be “junior fellows” in the institute. These junior fellows would be required to attend all institute public events, plus additional class meetings (at a minimum, the additional class meetings would include a 3 hour seminar on the weeks when there were no public events) to be taught by the Institute's faculty director. Students will receive a course credit for this.
Juniors and Seniors in good standing from all the undergraduate Claremont Colleges are encouraged to apply to become a fellow. Of the twenty-four student spaces, sixteen slots will be reserved for Pitzer.
More information about applying to be a 2008-08 Student Fellow in the Center for Social Inquiry will be available soon.
