The Best Value Colleges, subtitled "The 150 Best-Buy Colleges and What It Takes to Get In," profiles 75 public and 75 private colleges that The Princeton Review designates as "best values" based on assessments that examined more than 30 data points covering academics, cost and financial aid. The Princeton Review chose the 150 schools from 650 colleges and universities at which it conducted institutional and student surveys for this project in 2011-12.

Pitzer College is committed to meeting 100 percent of every admitted student's demonstrated need through a financial aid package that includes grants, work-study jobs and loans. More than 40 percent of Pitzer students receive financial aid and the College commits more than eight million dollars of its own resources annually to ensure that students with demonstrated need can take advantage of a Pitzer education.

Pitzer has previously been named one of the best values among private liberal arts colleges by Kiplinger and U.S.News & World Report has ranked the College as one of the top 10 schools for the average amount of need-based aid it awards.
