Pitzer College Director of Admission Appointed Council Chair of College Board's Western Regional Assembly

Claremont, Calif. (March 24, 2011) — Pitzer College Director of Admission Angel Perez was appointed council chairman of College Board's Western Regional Assembly (WRA).

During his three-year term, beginning this June, Perez will oversee and facilitate the business of the Western Regional Council, an advisory group made up of educators from both the secondary and postsecondary spheres, whose goal is to advance the College Board's mission with particular attention to the interests and needs of the students, educational institutions and associations in the Western Region.

"This as an opportunity to lead an organization with a serious commitment to access and equity in higher education and to illicit national discussions on increased educational attainment," says Perez.
