Pitzer College Alumnus Wins Award from Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies

Claremont, Calif. (March 24, 2011) — Pitzer College alumnus Andrew King '07 was honored with The Outstanding Teacher Education Alumni Award at the Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies 2011 Student Recognition Awards Ceremony held on March 10.

King '07 King, the 2010 Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District, was recognized as an exemplary Teacher Education alumnus who embodies the program's core philosophy of excellence, equity and integrity; and whose leadership, innovation and dedication positively impacts the lives of Southern California's diverse youth.

He majored in political science at Pitzer College.
