Pitzer College Assistant Professor Tim Berg Curates the 67th Scripps College Ceramic Annual
Claremont, Calif. (January 19, 2011) — Pitzer College Assistant Professor Timothy Berg will serve as the guest curator for the 67th Scripps College Ceramic Annual: Making Fun. The event kicks off on Saturday, January 22 at 4 pm with a reception and lecture by Berg, who teaches ceramics at Pitzer College.
For this exhibition, Berg has selected works by Barnaby Barford, Pattie Chalmers, Gerit Grimm, Ayumi Horie and Sara Varon, Janice Jakielski, Mathew McConnell, Peter Morgan, Thomas Muller, Brendan Tang and Matt Wedel.
Berg's work is represented in the permanent collections of museums around the world, including, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and The Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
The Scripps Ceramic Annual is the longest running exhibition of contemporary ceramics in the United States.
