The CoLab Community Advisory Board is made up of noted scholars and community-based leaders from throughout the country, who will meet at least twice every year in working sessions and provide advice and input on CoLab local and global projects. Each member have the commonality of working to develop action partnerships and new models for improving economic, social and ecological sustainability in marginalized and low-income communities.
"I look forward to learning about innovative models that are tapping community knowledge, deepening civic engagement, improving community practice, advancing action research for policy change, mobilizing community assets and generating shared wealth," said Calderon. "I intend to use this knowledge in my work with diverse collaboratives to build local models of sustainability and democratic engagement.
