Pitzer College Alumnus Selected as a 2010-11 Capital Fellow

Claremont, Calif. (September 16, 2010) — Pitzer College congratulates Benjamin Rubin '10, recipient of an Executive Fellowship in the 2010-11 Capital Fellows Program.

Rubin was an urban planning major and anthropology minor at Pitzer College.

"I am excited to begin the Capital Fellowship because the program combines graduate classroom learning with professional work. I think the program will be an excellent stepping stone between Pitzer and embarking on a career in urban planning," said Rubin.

In 2010, the Capital Fellows Program was named a nation's best internships by Vault.com. The Executive Fellowship Program, one of four programs, is sponsored by the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento and the Office of the Governor to provide an experiential learning opportunity in California state government. Fellows work full-time in high levels of the executive branch and meet weekly for graduate seminars. This ten-month program uniquely integrates work experience with academic and professional development.
