Pitzer College Named One of America's Top Colleges in the 2011 Princeton Review Best 373 Colleges

Receives top marks for study abroad program, race/class interaction, colleges in the west and happiest students

Claremont, Calif (August 3, 2010) — Pitzer College was named one of the nation's best colleges in the 2011 Princeton Review Best 373 Colleges.

Pitzer was listed as a 2011 Best Western College. It also placed fourth in Most Popular Study Abroad Program, eighth in Lots of Race/Class Interaction and 18th in Happiest Students.

"Pitzer College is an institution that prides itself on its emphasis on diversity and academic excellence. This year 74% of Pitzer seniors will study abroad as compared to under 2% nationally. We are pleased with this recognition by the Princeton Review and with being included among the 2011 Best Western Colleges," said Pitzer President Laura Skandera Trombley.

The Princeton Review ranks colleges and universities based on institutional data collected about the schools, feedback from students attending them and visits to schools over the years. They also consider the opinions of independent college counselors, students and parents. Finally, they strive to achieve a wide representation of colleges in the book by region, size, selectivity and character.
