Pitzer College Students Receive Teach For America Posts
Claremont, Calif. (May 24, 2010) – Pitzer College congratulates Megan Dooley ’10 and Alex Friedlander Moore ’10, recipients of Teach For America positions.
Dooley, an environmental studies major and an anthropology minor, and Moore, a psychology major, will begin training for the program this June and will be assigned their own classrooms in a Mississippi Delta area elementary school in the fall.
Teach For America provides recent college graduates a two year teaching commitment in urban and rural public schools to help bridge the educational gap for students living in low-income communities.
