Pitzer College Class of 2010 Wins Senior Gift Campaign for Fifth Consecutive Year
Claremont, Calif. (May 14, 2010) — For the fifth consecutive year, Pitzer College's senior class received the highest participation in the annual gift campaign among the Claremont Colleges and raised $17,500.
The Claremont Colleges Senior Gift Competition is an annual fundraising competition between the five undergraduate colleges. With 99.53% participation, Pitzer College led this year's competition, followed by Claremont McKenna with 99%, Scripps with 95% and Pomona with 49.70%. In total, the seniors across the five campuses raised over $50,000 in scholarships and campus support.
For winning, Pitzer College will continue to serve as the home to Ellen the Pig, a piggy bank trophy, which has resided in McConnell Center since May 2006.
