Work Study Information

Did you know you could be hired as a Work Study employee (depending on eligibility) to work at any of our programs in the community?

New Hires

Students are not allowed to start working without first receiving confirmation from the Human Resources or Financial Aid office that they have completed new hire paperwork and that they are eligible to work

If a student needs to complete new hire paperwork:

Federal Work-Study Students
Contact the Tricia Morgan, Bernard Core2nd floor to get hired

An Authorization to Hire must be submitted for the new hire

  • • The forms are located on the Ultipro homepage·
  • • The form must be submitted even if the student is active in the payroll system ·
  • • This is the only way we can ensure that the student has the job assigned to their record for timekeeping purposes

Returning Students

An Authorization to Hire form must be completed and submitted each year as follows:
Federal Work-Study: Financial Aid Office

Student Communication

Students can start working as soon as the paperwork is completed and an email is sent out from either Human Resources or the Financial Aid Office. Students will be sent separate emails with instructions on how to record time as soon as we have received all of the required paperwork and they are entered into the system.·

Returning Students
The appropriate job code will be added to the student’s record within 2 business days of receiving the completed Authorization to Hire form·

New Hires
Depending on the volume of new hires we are processing, it can take up to 5 business days to enter students into the payroll system

Students will be able to record time electronically after they are set-up in the system

* Reminder: Students may not work more than 8 hours in one day or 40 hours a week, ALL work study jobs combined. You may not work during your class times. You may be fired for poor performance. Tricia Morgan is the payroll point person, she requires your timesheets to be submitted the Wednesday prior to the pay period ending.
