professional development services; curricular resources; and ongoing
support to educators and students in the areas of history, social
studies, and language arts. Facing History is a national,
not-for-profit organization based in Brookline, MA with several

needed. Each intern will have a mentor to work under at Facing
History.
Interns work a total of 35 hours per week for
10 weeks at Facing History’s headquarters in Brookline, MA. The
program will begin the first week of June and end the second week in
August. The selected students will receive a housing, travel and
living stipend of $3,600 awarded in two payments, of which $2,000 is
paid up front. Interns are responsible for securing their own means
of housing and travel.
Qualifications:
Facing History is looking for candidates with
a strong interest in history and education reform. Applicants must
possess maturity and initiative, problem-solving ability, strong
time-management, and good communication and computer skills.
Application Process:
Your application consists of four items:
cover letter, resume, essay, and faculty recommendation letter
by 5:00 pm, Wednesday February 20, 2008. Incomplete
