12:00 p.m.
Smith Campus Center, Room 217, PO
and at
1:30 p.m.
Career Planning & Resources, Malott Commons, SCR
With access to unparalleled academic
and technological resources on Bond’s world-class Gold Coast campus,
students thrive in smaller study groups where eminent professors and
industry-experienced lecturers know them by name.
Bond offers graduate degrees in Law, Business, Technology &
Sustainable Development, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Health
Sciences & Medicine. Bond has three 14-week semesters each year.
This unique trimester academic calendar means that students can
start most programs in September, January and May each year. And by
undertaking three semesters per year instead of the usual two,
students complete their degree studies 12 months sooner than their
colleagues from other universities, thereby gaining a vital
advantage in the ultra-competitive career market. Bond’s academic
calendar is the only Australian university to run parallel with
universities in North America and Europe. Most students will
graduate with a Masters in one year.

New Book at Career Services
(Most books are available to be checked out overnight or
over the weekend!)
Council on Social Work Education.
Summary
Information On Master of Social Work Programs.
2003-2004.
Thinking of going on into a graduate program in Sociology? This
book was recommended to Career Services by one of our very own
professors on campus, Richard Tsujimoto. He considers this book to
be an invaluable resource from a highly trustworthy organization,
The Council on Social Work Education. Essentially, this book
contains summary information on master of social work programs. It
gives practical information on more than 100 graduate programs in
social work: degrees (master’s and doctorates), concentrations
(clinical, gerontology, families, etc), application deadlines,
tuition costs, etc. Though the date on it, 2003-2004 may not sound
current, it is still the only edition available and again comes from
a highly qualified source so we’re sure it’s useful even for today’s
market in graduate sociology. It’s brand new in our library this
month so come and check it out. |
