What is PIE?  Please join us to learn more about the inaugural year for the Pitzer Institute for Entrepreneurship. Serial entrepreneur and alumnus Hayden Hamilton will discuss how he has turned his passions into his profession and answer questions about how you can do the same.  You will also have the chance to sign up for our year-long “new ideas challenge.”  Through PIE, you will receive training and support to develop a new venture, culminating with the chance to pitch your new venture idea to alumni at Reunion Weekend in May 2014.  The team or individual with the best new idea will receive funding for travel to an entrepreneurial conference.
Come out on the 18th to participate in PIE and make a difference.

In this workshop you learn how to identify graduate programs that are the best fit for your interests and goals. Important! Please bring your laptop to this workshop. About the presenter: Josephine Moreno, Ph.D., is the new Graduate Diversity Officer for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) at UC Davis. Dr. Moreno has returned to UC Davis where she earned her B.S. in Textiles and Clothing and later held a position as a postdoctoral scholar from 1995-1996.After earning her doctoral degree in Textiles and Clothing from Iowa State University, Dr. Moreno was an Assistant Professor at the University of Rhode Island where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervised Master's graduate students. For the past 12 years, Dr. Moreno has held the position of Graduate Diversity Director for the Arts & Humanities Division in the College of Letters & Science at UC Berkeley. Dr. Moreno has extensive experience working closely with prospective and current graduate students from diverse populations on financial, academic and personal matters.
