About Pitzer College
A private, undergraduate, coeducational college of the liberal arts and sciences, Pitzer is consistently ranked among the best such colleges in the country.
Located in Claremont, California, a city about 35 miles east of Los Angeles. Founded in 1963, Pitzer College offers a comprehensive curriculum in the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences, leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Enrolling over 900 men and women, Pitzer is part of a unique educational environment known collectively as The Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five undergraduate colleges and a graduate university.
Pitzer offers a curriculum that spans 40 major fields and focuses on interdisciplinary, intercultural education with an emphasis on social responsibility and community service.
Together, our colleges educate students in the fine arts, humanities, engineering, mathematics, social and behavioral sciences, natural science and computer science. Our graduates pursue careers and jobs in almost every industry.
How to Post a Job
Thank you for sending your job listing to our office. We would like to make all of our job listings available to as many students and alumni as possible. In order to do this, Pitzer College, along with the other Claremont College Career Centers, has contracted with MonsterTRAK to post all job listings online. This service will allow your opportunity to be viewed by students and alumni from all of the Claremont Colleges (Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona , Scripps, and the Claremont Graduate University).
For profit companies:
Employers can post job opportunities on MonsterTrak for a nominal fee. You may submit jobs online via their website or by calling them at 1-800-999-TRAK.
Nonprofit Employers:
Not-for-profit and public service employers may have jobs posted on MonsterTRAK at no charge. Please submit listings to our office via fax at 909-607-7058, online, or by mail.
How to Post an Internship
Our students participate in a variety of domestic, international, paid and unpaid internships during the academic year and summer months to gain valuable work experience and skills.
This is a select list of organizations and companies that have accepted Pitzer students as interns. Just submit your internship listing to us via fax at 909-607-7058, mail, or online, and we will post your internship, for free, to students at InternTRAK.com. Your listing will remain on the database for one year.
Please see our guideline sheet for information about creating internships at your organization.
Interview On-Campus
Pitzer participates in a Claremont College On-Campus Recruiting program that allows you to interview students from each of our colleges while visiting a single campus. When you visit Pitzer to interview our students, you will also have the opportunity to recruit students from Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd, Pomona, and Scripps College.
Each fall and spring semester, the consortium hosts employers from various industries. On-campus interviews take place between October and April excluding breaks. You may choose open or pre-screened schedules to interview students. InterviewTRAK, a web-based recruiting system, permits you to access resumes at your convenience and interview schedules online 24 hours a day. This program is available to you at no charge.
Our office can provide you with the opportunity to offer information sessions about your organization on campus. These meetings can be scheduled during day or evening weekday hours. Please contact Teresa Flores, Assistant Director, for more details.
Résumé Referral
If you are unable to visit our campus to interview students, we can collect their résumé packets and forward the materials to you.
Nonprofit Career Fair
If your organization has full-time, part-time, summer job or internship opportunities in the not-for-profit sector, please consider attending our annual Nonprofit Career Fair held at Pitzer College each February. This year's event is full. This event will give you the chance to speak with students from all of the Claremont Colleges (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, Scripps, and the Graduate University).
