(Jan 25, 2002) -- On Nov. 12, 2001, Lisa Smith-Putnam was elected to the Board of Trustees of Pitzer College for a three-year term ending June 30, 2005. Smith-Putnam is a Pitzer alumna from the class of 1985. Smith-Putnam currently serves as the founder and CEO of Turning Point Entertainment Company, a multidimensional company that encompasses the areas of music, television, film and the Internet. She currently is working on a project with Quincy Jones, Stanley Clarke and George Duke. Pitzer's 1985 commencement speaker, she majored in communications and sociology. Smith-Putnam also is a consultant for the Experience Music Project, an interactive music museum in Seattle. A member of the Board of Trustees for Holy Names Academy in Seattle, her high school alma mater, Smith-Putnam also has served as chief executive officer for Amaru Entertainment; general manager for TNT Records and Management; chief production assistant for Bernie Grundman Mastering; and a production coordinator for "Entertainment Tonight" and "Woman to Woman."
