Pitzer College President Elected to Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce
Claremont, Calif. (Jan. 26, 2003) – Laura Skandera Trombley, the fifth President of Pitzer College, has been elected to serve on the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for a three-year term. Trombley’s membership comes into effect during a February 12, 2004 inauguration ceremony. She is one of nine new members joining the Board of Directors.
“I am looking forward to working with Los Angeles business and educational leaders,” Trombley said. Other college presidents now serving on the Board include Steven Sample, President of the University of Southern California and Al Carnisale, Chancellor of UCLA.
Trombley and her husband Nelson have one child, Nelson Edmond Trombley Jr., 7. They reside in the City of Claremont.
