(May 7, 2007) - Professor Jose Calderon was cited in the Spanish language newspaper La Opinión and in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin in articles about the death of day laborer Jose Fernando Pedraza, 57, in a traffic accident. Pedraza, a Rancho Cucamonga resident had become a father figure to many of the men seeking employment at the intersection, was killed when a vehicle plowed into a group of about 20 people protesting ina small anti-illegal-immigration rally.
