Appointments, Promotions and Tenure

The Appointments, Promotions and Tenure (APT) committee is comprised of six faculty members, the Dean of Faculty, the President of the College and two student members, one junior and one senior. APT's primary purpose is to vote on the hiring of new faculty members (both tenure track and visiting) and the promotion and review of current faculty members. APT members review portions of faculty files, attend faculty candidate job talks and interview faculty candidates.

Both student members, currently Liliana Sanchez ('09) and Kevin Garvey ('08), are equal voting members on the committee
