Staff Council Representatives (SCR)

Staff Council Representatives (SCR) is a peer-elected committee tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • • Addresses important staff policies and benefits
  • • Provides a formal avenue of communication for all staff
  • • Votes on behalf of staff on college-wide issues at College Council meetings
  • • Serves on a variety of campus committees, such as the Campus Life and Diversity Committees

Do you have suggestions for staff employee benefits or concerns? You can share your thoughts with SCR anonymously by dropping them off in the Suggestion Box conveniently located in the staff lounge in the basement of McConnell or email scr@pitzer.edu.

SCR Represents Staff Interests at College Council

College Council is the main policy-making body at Pitzer. Generally, all policy recommendations that are made by the various committees are forwarded to College Council for discussion and eventual vote. If passed, these recommendations go to the President and as appropriate to the Board of Trustees for final approval.

SCR has staff represented on the following committees:

  • Budget Implementation Committee (BIC)
  • Campus Life Committee
  • Academic Planning Committee
  • Diversity Committee
  • Aesthetics Committee

SCR Meetings & Events

SCR meets Wednesday’s at 3 p.m. in the Founders Room in McConnell. On the second Wednesday of the month meetings are held in Broad Center, Room #207.
