The Fifth Annual Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented during Alumni Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Distinguished Alumni Award Luncheon and Award Presentation.
The award, the highest honor that Pitzer College awards its graduates, recognizes an alumna/us who has brought honor and distinction to the College through her or his outstanding achievements. The first recipient of this award in 2004 was Debra Yang ’81, the first Asian American U.S. Attorney. L. Hunter Lovins ’72, who is devoted to global sustainability issues and their human dimensions, was the 2005 award winner. In 2006, filmmaker Jenniphr Goodman ’84 received the award in recognition of her work to encourage citizens to be socially responsible. Harriett Crosby ’68 was honored in 2007 for her ongoing commitment to justice in the world. This year, we are pleased to welcome Thomas Brock ’83 to this exceptional group of honorees.
