Pitzer Activities (PAct) Programming Board Funding Request

PAct is a Student Senate sponsored organization that allocates funding to promote access and involvement for the Pitzer community. The programming board generally consists of 8 to 12 students and 1 staff member.

Aesthetics Committee/Outdoor Art

The Aesthetics Committee exists to encourage the production of public art on the Pitzer Campus. The Committee is charged with reviewing proposals for art installations and murals. The above link will take you to the Aesthetics Committee Online home, which includes the proposal form and guidelines.

Event Contract

Generally events held in public spaces on the Pitzer campus need to be registered. This policy often applies to events in Mead Hall as well. All events where alcohol will be served must be registered. In order to complete the registration process a completed Event Contract should be submitted no later than one week -- 2 weeks if alcohol is to be served -- prior to the event date.

Once you or the responsible party has completed the form, a meeting should be scheduled with the Office of Student Affairs (OSAStaff@pitzer.edu; 909.621.8241) to review proposed details. Also, be sure to reserve the space that you plan to use via the online room reservation system. If the event is to be held outdoors, please contact Campus Facilities (Director of Custodial Service, McConnell 112 or 909.607.2226/73147) regarding temporarily suspending the irrigation system.

Event Staff Request

Pitzer College Event Staff is a student funded and directed group that is available for use at all student events. Event Staff is able to assist with tasks such as monitoring, set-up, and clean up. As requested, Event Staff is also able to provide professional audio support. Each year Event Staff employees a large number of work-study and non-work study students, and services are provided free of charge so long as there is no admission fee for the event. Please submit the Event Staff request to the Event Staff mailbox located in the Student Offices, Gold Student Center Room 222 – reference the form for additional instructions and/or contact eventstaff@pitzer.edu with any questions.

Performance Contract

The performance contract should be completed for those events that involve services provided by a professional band, act, etc. Before completing the form, please contact the Office of Student Affairs (OSAStaff@pitzer.edu; 909.621.8241) for additional information.

Room/Outdoor Space Reservation

If you are planning an event, you must make room/outdoor space reservations. You can check the availability of spaces and make reservations via the following link: http://emsweb.claremont.edu/Pitzer/

Graphics Request Form

Under certain circumstances the Pitzer College Office of Public Relations may be able to assist you or your organization in terms of advertising and publicity for specific events. The graphic department is able to produce professional quality posters, postcards, table tents, etc. This service requires prior approval by contacting the Office of Public Relations (opr@pitzer.edu; 909.621.8219) and a completed graphics request form to be on file with a minimum of two weeks notice.

The Office of Public relations may be able to provide other services to assist with you event.

Gold Student Center Employment Application

The Gold Student Center employs a large number of students in various positions including: GSC Student Managers, Front Desk Attendants, Fitness Room Attendants, Lifeguards, Event Staff, Shakedown Restaurant, and various other roles.

PAct Employment Application

Pitzer Activities staff program and provide support to students, faculty, and staff who are interested in campus life at Pitzer College and in conjunction with the other Claremont Colleges. The PAct role positions you as a student leader, and offers you personal growth and development, as well as satisfaction in knowing that you are helping others get more from their life at Pitzer College. Request for Check Form

This form is generally completed by the Treasurer of the organization from which you are requesting a reimbursement. When submitting receipts for approved expenses, please be sure to include detailed contact information. Student Senate recommends that you photocopy any documentation that would be irreplaceable if misplaced.
