Commencement Invitations

Commencement invitations are mementos for graduating seniors and guests and are not required to attend Pitzer’s commencement ceremony. There is no limit to the number of guests a student may invite.

Pitzer College prints six invitations for each graduating senior. TWO of these invitations will be sent out by the Office of the President in April to parents and/or other special guests and four will be given to graduating seniors to distribute on their own. An announcement will be sent to graduating seniors when invitations are available. They will only be given to seniors who have registered to graduate through the Office of the Registrar and have submitted their measurements for cap and gown. In order for Pitzer to send the two invitations on your behalf to your parents/other special guests, you must complete the invitation form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar by Monday, MARCH 3, 2008.

Commencement Announcements

Announcements are different than invitations in that they simply announce that you are graduating from Pitzer. They are not an invitation to the commencement ceremony.

Announcements may be individually ordered and sample announcements may be viewed at Huntley bookstore. Announcements may be ordered directly from CB Graduation Announcements. Contact 1.800.433.0296 or www.CBGrad.com. Allow ten working days for your order to be processed.

Diplomas

Original diplomas will be handed out during the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

If you do not participate in the Commencement ceremony, your diploma will be sent (approximately one week following Commencement) by certified mail to the address indicated on your Application for Graduation. Should your plans to participate in Commencement change, please notify Sharon Kaatmann in the Office of the Registrar at 909.621.8363.
