Academic Program Affiliations

Pitzer and the college consortium offer numerous special programs.

General Accelerated program
Through the Accelerated BA/MA program, Pitzer College students can work simultaneously toward the completion of their undergraduate degree and a master's degree from Claremont Graduate University, allowing them to earn an M.A., M.S. or M.B.A. often in one additional year of full-time study. Teacher Education BA/MA/credential (300g course)
Pitzer College students can take the 300G course and transfer these 4 units towards their MA/credential program in Teacher Education at Claremont Graduate University. Joint Medical Program
A medical program is available through Pitzer's partnership with Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Through this program, a student can obtain a B.A. and an D.O. in seven years. This rigorous and highly selective program, offered to incoming first-year students only, is designed to produce physicians in osteopathic medicine with a focus on the prevention of disease, promotion of health, and the compassionate treatement of the patient as a whole person.

3+2 Engineering
A 3+2 Engineering program in Management Engineering is offered in cooperation with several universities throughout the United States.

B.A./M.P.P.
The consortium also offers a joint B.A./M.P.P. program in Public Policy for students majoring in Political Studies, Organizational Studies, Environmental Studies, and Sociology; however, students with other majors may apply.

B.A./MIDS
An accelerated masters program in Interdiscliplinary Studies is offered at The Claremont Colleges through which you can earn a B.A. and MIDS in five years.
