The best way to get to know a college is to spend time on the campus.
A visit illustrates the range of opportunities available
to you at Pitzer and The Claremont Colleges. Tour the campus. Sit in on a class. Meet with an admission representative. Spend the night on campus. Eat in the dining hall. Meet with a coach. Any and all of these options will better prepare you in your college search. We hope you will join us!
| To schedule a campus visit, please call (909) 621-8129 or (800) PITZER-1. |

Led by a student guide, the tour lasts approximately one hour. You will see all aspects of our beautiful campus including a classroom, a residence hall, the dining hall, Gold Student Center, Keck Science Center, the Mounds, the Grove House, and much, much more.
Tour Times (beginning May 19, 2008)
All Year

• Saturdays (mid-September through the end of January)

Interviews
Individual interviews provide students with the opportunity to both tell us about themselves and learn more about Pitzer from an admission counselor or admission fellow. Interviews are available for seniors only from May (end of junior year) through the end of January at selected times throughout the day, Monday through Friday. Interviews on Saturday mornings are available by appointment in the fall and end on the last Saturday in January. It is encouraged that students in their senior year schedule their interview in the summer or fall for a more informative conversation.
Interviews are required of Early Decision applicants and must be completed by December 1. Interviews are recommended, but not required, for Regular Decision candidates through the end of January.
Transfer students and New Resources students can interview at any time, with some limited availability during certain times of the year.
In addition to offering interviews on campus, the Pitzer Admission Staff travels to selected cities during the month of January to offer interviews for applicants across the country. In January, we plan to host interviews in Boston, Chicago, New York, Portland (OR), Bay Area (San Francisco, East Bay and Santa Clara), Seattle and Washington, D.C. Further information about these interviews will be available in November.
Information Sessions
A 30-minute Information Session is available for all interested parents and students Monday through Friday. The sessions provide an overview of the College followed by an informal Q&A period.
Information Session Times (beginning May 19, 2008)
• Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Day Visits
In addition to a tour and interview, a great way to learn more about Pitzer College is to extend your visit. Students may visit a class or meet with a faculty member or coach who will expose students to Pitzer up-close and personal. A day visit includes most facets of an overnight stay. We offer day visits to high school seniors, Transfer students, and New Resources students.
A one-day visit to Pitzer can be arranged for most weekdays from late September through April during regular class sessions Monday through Thursday and Friday mornings (excluding fall, winter and spring breaks, campus holidays, and final exams; please check our academic calendar). To arrange a day visit, please call at least ten days in advance so we can personalize your visit. Plan to arrive early in the day so you have the time to experience all that Pitzer has to offer.
Overnight Visits
An overnight visit to Pitzer is the best way to experience life at the College and can be arranged most Monday through Thursday evenings, from late September through the last week of April when classes are in session (excluding breaks, final exams and campus holidays). You will need to arrive on campus by 4:30 p.m. to meet up with your student host for the evening. To arrange an overnight visit, our office needs fourteen days advance notice to meet your request or ten days in advance if you plan to attend one of our Preview Pitzer or Admitted Student Days.
Your personalized overnight visit may include:
- An overnight stay with a student host in one of the campus residence halls
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with current students
- Attend classes
- An admission interview
- A campus tour with a student
- A visit with a professor and/or coach
- Any number of evening activities (concerts, plays, sporting events, etc.) taking place during your stay
- An appointment with a financial aid counselor
Please note that due to large numbers of visitors, we are unable to host prospective students prior to their senior year of high school. We are also unable to host Transfer or New Resources students.
Airport, Hotel and Arrival Information
