Student Affairs

Student Affairs staff will be available during the summer to offer a range of academic and residential support services. Some services will be limited and the College's comprehensive residence life program will not be in effect during the summer.

Student Activities

Regular Pitzer Activities (Pact) programs will not be ongoing. However, barbecues and other recreational activities will be planned through the Special Programs Office.

Gold Center swimming pool, game room, big screen TV, and fitness room will be open on a limited basis during the summer. Specific hours will be posted.

Health Services

Baxter Medical Center will not be open during the summer. If ongoing care is required, students should make arrangements for these services independently. It is suggested that students make sure they have an adequate supply of prescription medications prior to the end of the regular academic year.

Regular counseling services through Monsour Counseling Center will not be available during the summer. If ongoing care is required, students should make arrangements for these services independently. A staff psychologist will be retained on-call for emergencies only.

Computing

The Pitzer Computing Lab will be open weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Students may access the lab in the evenings and on weekends by using their Student ID Card. Non-Pitzer students will be given accounts for use during the summer.

Network and Internet access will be available in the dorms to students in residence.

Policies/Procedures

All Pitzer policies and procedures will be in effect during the summer. Because a number of boards and committees do not meet during the summer, some functions and proceedings may be handled administratively.
