Intercollegiate Media Studies Minor

Intercollegiate Media Studies minor: A minor in Media Studies requires completion of the first four requirements listed for the IMS major, plus two additional Media Studies Courses totaling six courses. Students at some colleges are not eligible for the minor. Check with an advisor to determine if you are.

Requirements for the Minor

  1. One introductory critical/theoretical Media Studies course
  2. One introductory media production course
  3. One course in media history
  4. One course in media theory
  5. Media Studies elective
  6. Media Studies elective*

*Pitzer MS majors must select MS 194 PZ, Media Arts for Social Justice, or MS 196 PZ, Media Internship, as one of their electives.
