| Eligibility | Students must be in good academic standing at Pitzer College. Preference will be given to juniors and first semester seniors but sophomores are eligible if space is available. |
| Preparation | At least one area studies course on Asia in history, politics, literature, religious studies, or international relations is required. Additional recommended preparation: Language, Culture and Society; Intercultural Communications; Introduction to International/ Intercultural Studies; Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology |
| Application | Pitzer College study abroad application and any forms required by the university. |
| Program Dates | Fall program: Mid August to mid December Spring program: Mid January to early May |
| Required Courses | Thai language and culture study is required, as is the Pitzer Sakai course Intercultural Learning: Portfolio Writing. |
| Intensive Language | Students will take one course of intensive Thai language |
| Independent Study | See a Study Abroad Adviser. |
| Course Options | Courses for international students are available in English covering topics connected to Thai culture. |
| Credit Possible | Students are expected to take 15-16 Payap course credits in order to earn four course credits at Pitzer. In addition, students will earn 0.5 Pitzer course credits for the Sakai course. See above under Required Courses. |
| Housing Options | Students live in international student housing with other international students and participate in a three week home stay in the middle of the semester. |
