Program Title Pitzer/ISEP Exchange with Södertörn University

Eligibility Students must be in good standing at Pitzer College and have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Preference given to juniors and first semester seniors but qualified sophomores are eligible if space is available.
Preparation At least one area studies course is required before departure. Other general preparation options include: Comparative Politics, Intercultural Communications, Introduction to International/ Intercultural Studies, Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology

Program Dates Fall semester (= Semester 1): Mid August to mid January
Spring semester (= Semester 2): Mid January to early June
Full year: Mid August to June
Required Courses Participants are expected to take one course while abroad that includes content on Swedish history, politics, literature or culture, and the Pitzer Sakai course Intercultural Learning: Portfolio Writing.
Intensive Language Basic level Swedish language courses are offered during both semesters.

Credit Possible In addition to a full course load at the university, students will earn 0.5 Pitzer course credit for the Sakai course. See above under Required Courses.
Housing Options ISEP students are housed in rooms close to the Flemingsberg Campus in Björnkulla. All rooms have a small Pullman kitchen/cooking recess cupboard. In each corridor there is a fully equipped common kitchen as well as a laundry room. A stipend to cover the cost of meals is provided.
