The achievements of Pitzer's faculty speak to the heart of the College. Through their commitments to scholarship, the Pitzer College faculty continue to make powerful intellectual contributions to their fields in the form of publications, exhibitions, films, editorships of leading academic journals, and chairs of professional organizations. Our faculty are actively involved in local and global communities that promote social justice, and they are recognized nationally for their outstanding and innovative pedagogy. I have been on the Pitzer College faculty for 17 years, and I am honored to be a member of this outstanding community of teacher-scholars.
