Research Interests: Professor Stephens is currently working on issues concerning the welfare of subsistence farmers in developing countries. More specifically, she is interested in the linkages between credit market frictions and small holder marketing patterns, as well as the impact of social networks on technology adoption and income dynamics. Some of her other research interests include economic history and simulation modeling.
