In the most recent data reported by the National Science Foundation, Pitzer College ranked 6th in the number of alumni who pursued a PhD in psychology, 19th in the number of alumni who pursued a PhD in anthropology, and 20th in the number of alumni who pursued a PhD in sociology out of 122 private colleges and universities.
